All prospective Sea Devils must attend a New Swimmer Evaluation Session to receive the proper program recommendation and ensure that they demonstrate the required skills necessary to participate.

Select Training Group

11-14 years old, 11 month program Sept-July (includes summer long course training and meet participation); This is an introduction to elite level swimming. Swimmers are expected to attend a minimum of 4 practices per week. Swimmers must be able to swim the acceptance set at the time of the evaluation and coach recommendation is required. Swimmers at this level should be competitive in all four strokes, and have an introduction to pace swimming.

*Participation in at least 4 meets per year is required. Parent(s), swimmer, and coach will meet to discuss seasonal goals.

Practice time: 1.5 - 2 hour practice

Silver Training Group

13 & over, 9 month program Sept-May; Swimmers should be proficient in all four strokes for a minimum distance of 50 yards. No minimum practice requirement – attend when you can! Meet participation is encouraged but not required.

Practice time: 1-1.5 hour practice 3-4 times a week on weekdays in both the morning and afternoon.

Gold Training Group

14 & over, 11 month program Sept-July (includes long course training and meet participation); This is an elite training group for swimmers who have chosen swimming as their primary extra-curricular activity. Swimmers must attend at least 5 practices per week and must be able to complete an acceptance set at time of evaluation and coach recommendation is required. Meet participation is required in at least 5 meets during the short course season. Parent(s), swimmer, and coach will meet to discuss seasonal goals.

Practice time: 1.5-2 hour practice.

Senior Training Group

15 & older, 11 month program Sept-July (includes summer long course training and meet participation); This is an elite training group for committed and motivated 14 and older swimmers willing to prepare for the higher levels of elite competition. 8 Practices are offered 6 days a week and attendance to at least 7 practices weekly are expected. Swimmers must be able to complete the acceptance set at time of evaluation and swimming should be their main extracurricular focus.

Practice time: 1.5-2 hour practice.

Locations: St. Albans
